First Time Ever!

At our house we prepare for Christmas in two stages.  First comes Advent with lighted candles and spiritual reflections interspersed with the secular activities of buying and wrapping gifts and sending Christmas cards.  On Dec. 23/24  Advent is over and the 12 days of Christmas begin.  The candles are replaced with with Santa window decals, a tabletop Christmas tree decorated with tiny ornaments collected in each state of our travels, and the manger scene  set up in a place of honor. 

This year is the first year that I won't string lights around the house, set up the tree or the creche or decal the windows.  We will be enjoying our kids decorations while our friends keep watch on our house, and blogging our Christmas activities from the road.
