For exercise today we walked the nature trail here at the Verde Valley Thousand Trails RV Park outside Cottonwood, AZ. From the campground we walked the road for a bit to access this trail up the hill to the top.
It wasn’t too tough, compared to Bryce Canyon for instance, and Duane was able to negotiate the path without his walking sticks.
From the top we could see our bit of the Verde Valley with Camp Verde in the north and our campground hidden among the trees,
the Verde River course hidden in the trees
the park rv storage and the path we took to the top (notice that bit of road behind the path)
and the long-term rv section with the Activities Center (that dark spot on the right middle). Cottonwood is off to the left.
We saw a couple of people far off on the trail, but for the most part we had the area to ourselves except for masses of yellow, purple, or white wildflowers and lots of insects.
Uh oh! Guess who showed up!
We managed to ditch that Guy and ended up on the road by the Activities Center. Down the road and around the corner
we ended up back on that bit of road next to the rv storage.
Too hot for further exercise.
Louise and Duane
