We moved only 110 miles from the Verde River Valley outside Cottonwood, AZ to the Hassayampa River Valley in Congress AZ. We went down about 500’ in altitude. The scenery changed from mesas and creosote bushes
through saguaro, cholla (choya), prickly pear, and smoke trees,
and into creosote, ocotillo (ocoteyo)
and mountains.
We ended up back at North Ranch Escapees RV Park just west of Wickenburg and near Congress, AZ. We will be here until the end of September.
We enjoy staying at this park because of the great motorcycle rides. We may be disappointed for a week or two—temps are predicted in the triple digits, as high as 107. Hmmm. Perhaps we came here too soon!
We’ll see what the future brings!
