Today was our Ohio friends first full day in Saddle Mountain RV Park in Tonopah, AZ. The past few days have been very nice with sunny blue skies and a nice warm breeze. This morning was nice and sunny, but a cold wind was blowing. While Gene and Barbara recuperated from their long drive from Ohio, Duane, Cliff, Judy and I attended a pickleball tournament in Surprise. We wore sweatshirts and jackets and stayed in the sun to keep warm.
The tourney was small, with a few vendors selling pickleball hats, jewelry, paddles, balls, and some food was available.

From the first time Cliff and Judy played the game they were hooked. Now they are the proud owners of “real” pickleball paddles and an new bag to put them in.
This morning the ladies were playing. Here the action is hot and heavy at the net. You can just see the ball above the net and just to the right.
All of that action left us tired and hungry. Then when we got home we had to help them break in their new paddles with a few games.
This evening we took a stroll with Gene and Barbara. The Ohio people, who are used to the colder temperatures, were freezing!
Tonight we are playing games with them in their house.
Tomorrow we are giving them a tour of Arizona.
