Our campground is part of the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmmont, CO. Across the road is the main part of the complex. Four events were in progress this morning.
On our walk to the first one we were treated to a panoramic view of the Never Summer Mountains.
First we attended the Farmers' Market. In spite of the double warnings about pets, there were two or three people walking around with dogs.
We found several places to buy baked goods, home-made sauces and dips, and honey and fruit spreads.
Frozen CO grown meats including lamb, beef, pork, and bison were available.
We found lots of fresh flowers and herbs.\,
not to mention fresh vegetables and fruits.
Services available included knife/scissor sharpening, community information booths, kids' activities, coffee bars and lots of food booths.
There was live music provided by a four-man combo. It was fun watching that guy in the middle dancing with his little girl.
Next stop was the art show. It was very small, but had a variety of art represented including ceramic hookahs,
silk scarves hand dyed with plants,
this mixed media field of flowers with real butterflies.
Next we checked out the goat show. There were lots of people wandering around looking at the numerous goats and sitting watching the show.
I watched this goat being milked for a while. It seemed to take forever.
Last stop was the all-breed open horse show. There were no spectators. That guy was just there to use his phone.
Most of the classes were for kids' age groups, and included only three or four entrants.
That was our morning. We were back home in 1 1/2 hours.
Tomorrow's another day.
