Leaving son Jeremy and his family in the Piney Woods of east Texas,
we headed three hours north west to the plains north of Dallas.
Here, in Van Alstyne (in the Sherman area) is where son Duane Jr and family live. We did not go to their house today. Instead we stopped by their new property outside Trenton to tour their latest acquisition. There are two buildings here. One is their new gym. One part of the building consists of a kid’s playroom, and an adult lounge.
The rest is devoted to a fitness gym and equipment.
The other building houses Jr.’s business—TR Cabinets.
Most of the building is work area.
The front quarter is offices and showroom. Both of these businesses are in progress. If all goes well, the gym will be getting more equipment, the shop will be expanded, and the showroom will be completed.
After our tour of the new property, we went to the twins’ school open house,
then to a local BBQ restaurant for supper. Left around the table are Ava, Emma (twins), Alyssa, Brandey (daughter-in-law), Coy, Jr., and Sr.
Anyone who was at the wedding (see Shout! blog) will recognize Jr. as the preacher. Jr. is one of the ministers of King’s Trail Cowboy Church in Whitewright.
For dessert we were treated to this beautiful pink and purple sunset.
We left the family at the restaurant. They went home to put kids to bed. We went home to do our usual evening stuff.
More fun in store tomorrow.
Louise and Duane
