6:30 is the usual breakfast time on school days, but it was unusually early for the poor grandparents. However, we were out of bed for a very special reason; today was Mel’s first day of preschool.
The motley breakfast crew.
Spiffed up and ready to rock and roll (except for Tugg).
There are no school busses here. Everyone parks at the bottom of the hill and walks up to the school.
Now Tugg is ready to r and r.
We did other chores today—planted a tree, put in a new kitchen faucet, hung the hammock, worked on getting garden tools in order. For our reward we went to Duane’s favorite burger joint. It was Matt and Beth’s first time in several years.
We finished the day with some of Matt’s delicious chicken and noodles, and Krispy Kremes for dessert. The evening held early bedtimes for kids and the usual fun game of Wizard.
Thanks to Jack for suggesting the title of this blog, and for helping me with my spelling.
More fun and games tomorrow.
Louise and Duane
