Further Changes

While we were visiting Duane Jr and family yesterday, we were amazed by the amount of work they have done on their property.  They had acquired and cleared an acre of land on the left side of the driveway across from their house.  They erected a temporary round pen for the twins to train their horses.  In the future, a barn will be built in this area and both this field and the one across the road will be connected.  Those pipes lying on the grass are two cattle guards which will be placed across the road to keep the horses from straying into the front yard or down the road.

On the opposite side of the road they cleared another section of overgrown fence row.  It used to look like that brushy area in the background.

The biggest change of the gate.  This old farm gate on wooden posts

has been replaced by this impressive tubular steel gateway and gate.  (The electric opener wasn't installed yet.)

We wonder what will be new the next time we visit.
