Saddle Mountain RV Park outside Tonopah, AZ is a nice place to park for the winter. The sites are comfortably large, level, and graveled with concrete patios.
The park is pretty and well kept. Not many people are here yet, but will be filtering in before long.
It has several large buildings including these 4 long two story ones. The top floors are dormitories which house workers from the local power plant when the plant is closed for routine maintenance.
The lower floors house various activities including card rooms, craft rooms, a gym, a library, a game room, a lapidary shop, a woodworking shop, and offices.
It’s early in the season now, but as more people arrive for the winter, there will be plenty of activities scheduled for these spaces.
This smaller building houses showers/restrooms
and a nice large laundry.
Outdoor activities include pickleball, tennis (nets are up now),
a heated pool,
shuffle board, and a putting green, and the park itself offers a large, safe place to walk or run. The winter weather is usually mild, allowing people to enjoy these outdoor activities all season.
Often during the winter, there are dramatic clouds, often silver or gold lined at sunset. Beautiful.
The rain is gone, pickleball tomorrow, maybe.
