After last night’s fiasco, I put a new battery in the camera and took a spare. When we arrived on our last family outing of the week, I took three pictures before I noticed that I had forgotten to put the card back in the camera!! Fortunately for me Duane had my back. He took plenty pics with his camera.
In the caverns we found a nice collection of stalagmites, stalactites, honeycombs, soda straws and sheets. I was amazed that there was a lot of moss growing here too.
In the gift shop the kids got bags of sand with treasures like rock crystals, arrow heads, and pyrite. To find them you dump the sand into screen frames then swish it through the water running through the trough to reveal what you got.
We completed our outing by stopping at a local restaurant for lunch, then home for an afternoon of outdoor games. After supper we chatted with Matt, Beth, Rachel and Benji while they funneled the grandkids through showers. We went home early because Benji and Rachel are back to work tomorrow, and everyone else, including ourselves, were ready for an early night.
One last goodbye tomorrow.
Louise and Duane

Glad you remembered the camera. The photos of the cavern are beautiful.
