This is why we are all worn out. Tom, Paula, Duane and I have been playing pickleball a minimum of 2 hours every evening for the past week before Jane and Ron joined us. We started an additional morning game for Ron and Morgan (Tom &Paula's friend) who don't play in the evening. Pickleball players are accommodating and helpful (read addicted). We seven have outlasted the (young) full-time homeschooling parents (haven't seen them on the court for a while) and Yvon who played three nights before he quit. (We found out that he had been spending his days walking 3 miles on the treadmill then biking 6 miles around the park, and then swimming laps during the day before playing pickleball. I became exhausted just thinking about that!)

Actually we could all handle the pickleball. The real reason we are tired is that this morning (Sat) we were surrounded by children. They were everywhere! Their parents brought them to breakfast then loosed them upon the civilized world to replace order with chaos. The result was that they sucked the energy out of us, and that's why we're tired!
All kidding aside, it's interesting to watch these kids. They sort of swirl around going from basketball to tennis to mini golf to playground then disappear all in the space of about 20 minutes. Sometimes I felt as if I was caught in a giant whirlpool until they moved on.
Tomorrow Duane and I plan on revisiting the Washington-On-The-Brazos park. We do plan on getting our pickleball fix tomorrow evening, though!
Later, gator.
