Hmmm

On our (almost) daily hikes through Tyler State Park (TX)  we often encounter trees that are bent or growing at right angles.  Some, like the one below are broken

Most are just bent for no apparent reason,

but some are broken.  We often wonder how the broken trees manage to survive and keep on growing.

Plugging along seems to pay off.
