Along with Apache tears, we found a number of other desert treasures yesterday (see Hounding The Wash blog).
Signs of recent rain—itself a great treasure—included patches of green grass,
wild flowers and other plants,
dormant bushes putting on leaves,
lichen,
and precious puddles of water.
In the area were lots of multi-armed saguaro, many with curvy and/or downturned arms
I don’t know what animal left behind this tiny skeleton. It looked a lot like a spider, but spiders don’t have bones.
Rain in the forecast.
