In order to continue our exploration of Utah national parks, we had to change rv parks. In our two hour 130 mile move this morning, we left the Capitol Reef area,
rolled up 1500’ across a mountain,
and down again.
Across several pleasant little valleys,
through a couple of scenic canyons,
and past Butch Cassidy’s boyhood home outside Circleville.
In Panguitch we passed Kenny Ray’s, our lunch stop on Monday (see Circling blog), then continued 11 miles from town to
to our new home for the next week.
This park is very small with 3 public buildings: this tiny office
with a tiny camp store,a small restroom/shower house, and a small covered group picnic pavilion.
The view from our house looking east we can see almost the whole park (just two sites and the restrooms behind us). Along the edges are several nice cabins and several small back-in sites. The pull-thrus are down the middle.
Looking north,
west
and south, there are nice views all around. The park is very well kept and clean, including the restrooms/showers, and only $260 (Good Sam’s discount). The best part about this park is that it is less than 20 miles from Bryce Canyon, our next national park to explore.
Tomorrow, our daughter Stacy and her partner Ruth Ann arrive to explore Bryce with us.
Fun times ahead.
Louise and Duane
