Happy Easter

After breakfast at Denny's

we stirred up some old fashioned homemade ice cream to chill while we

went to the river

dismantle the drag lines.  We caught a couple of catfish on the drag lines 

and one on on a rod and reel before we headed back to the house for 

a friendly game or two of cards

before heading to the school field for Allie to practice pole vaulting.

Home to hunt Easter eggs

and enjoy a healthy southern fry-up of fish, squash, and spiral-cut potatoes

topped off with our delicious homemade old fashioned vanilla ice cream.  Yum! Yum!

Two people ate plain vanilla, two with fresh strawberries, one with caramel syrup, one with strawberry syrup. A couple of people also used whipped cream.  Also available on our ice cream bar were bananas, Maraschino cherries, chocolate syrup, and hot fudge.  

Good night, Toad.  Time to go home.

Man!  We're tired!
