South we went but only 200 miles—not nearly far enough. We drove under totally overcast skies through 25 degree weather. The wind chill was colder than that.
Going through Houston was not much of a chore, though.
We managed to breeze right through with the cruise control set at 62 mph.
It took me a while to figure out that that colorful stuff is not graffiti, but purposeful art.
After several days of languishing inside, Snowy the Snowman is back where he belongs with his butt Velcro’d to the dash.
We are stopping only one night to break up the trip. Since the bike is still in the back, Duane is sharing my space with me for the evening.
As you can see, he made himself right at home.
One more travel day, but warming temps. Yay!
Louise and Duan
